Sister Jones Bookless Book Club
Taking action and doing cool shit since 2025.
Who we are:
Sister Jones Bookless Book Club was started in 2025 as a group of leftist women who were fed up with the shortcomings of the institutions that are supposed to be helpful in our communities. As more people have joined us, it has become clear that we share a collective desire for real action and connectedness. Today, our members comprise of community leaders from Northeast Wisconsin and the surrounding areas. We are a matriarchal action group that is focused on identifying real issues in our communities and acting to improve them.
What we do:
Our mission is to promote education, facilitate access to resources, encourage skill sharing, and foster community support. That can look like a lot of different things. We are comprised of many talented individuals with strengths of all kinds, and where they put those strengths is wholly up to them. Sometimes it looks like running for Sheriff (check out the Sheriff Project!), sometimes it looks like supporting an existing project (check out Fox Valley Queer Closet!), and sometimes it looks like days in the park with likeminded people so that we are better able to get through the next tough day. Stay up to date with the goings on by looking at our calendar.
Our values:
We believe in human rights for all. We value all human beings with a focus on those of us with marginalized identities because we understand that achieving equity means different levels of need. We believe in the importance of the privacy and safety of our member and take the necessary steps to protect that.
Join the action!
Are you wondering how you can join in on the action?
This group is for leftist community members lead by women, trans men, nonbinary people, and others with marginalized gender identities. Cis men are welcome in our group once vetted by two or more members. Contact us through our contact page or check us out on social media to find out more.
